  • Paediatric and children friendly assessment, programme planning and interventions in fine and gross motor, visual perceptual, social and play skills available.

    Fine Motor Skills

    When your child has difficulties in these areas it often impacts on their self esteem, social skills and well being. Addressing these allows your child to keep up with their peers and progress at school.

    Occupational Therapy can assist children with skill development in the following areas :

    • Fine motor skills - handwriting (letter formations, sizing and spacing of writing), pencil grip, drawing and scissor skills
    • Visual perceptual - skills - puzzles and reading
    • Gross motor skills - fluency of body movements, sports activities and co-ordination
    • Planning and organisation - skills - for the classroom and at home
    • Sensory and perceptual - skills to assist new learning skills
    • Concentration and - attention to task
    • Play and socialization - skills
    • Self care skills - feeding, bathing, dressing and toileting

    • This course is design to get your child ready for school.
    • Our unique Kindy group program has been designed by Paediatric Occupational Therapists in collaboration with specialist early childhood teachers. Play based sessions are designed to enable your child to develop the foundation skills they need in order for them to reach their full potential and thrive at school.
    • Fun activities will develop the following skills in your child
    • Fine Motor Skills - Pre writing patterns, pencil grip, drawing and scissor skills
    • Gross Motor Skills - Fluency of movements, co-ordination, core strength, ball skills and balance
    • Visual Perceptual Skills -Spatial awareness and skills essential for reading
    • Social, Listening and Group Skills
